Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will serve two crucial purposes: supporting our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) time and enhancing our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) store. During SEL time, students engage in activities that help them manage emotions, build relationships, and practice mindfulness.

My students are incredibly resilient and eager to grow, not just academically but emotionally and socially as well.

They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom. Despite facing challenges, they consistently show determination and curiosity. Their empathy, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning inspire me every day, and I love watching them grow into thoughtful, confident individuals.

For our PBIS store, I am seeking items like small prizes, notebooks, Play-Doh, school supplies, and fun rewards that students can "purchase" with the points they earn by demonstrating positive behavior. These incentives motivate students to meet behavior goals, creating a positive atmosphere where students are recognized for their efforts. The PBIS system not only helps maintain a focused learning environment but also teaches responsibility, goal-setting, and perseverance.

With these materials, I hope to continue nurturing their unique strengths and helping them flourish both academically and personally.
