My Students

I teach young students with a variety of exceptional needs, all of which making learning and engagement extremely challenging. Each child in my class enjoys learning but each one learns in a different way. On top of their learning challenges, many of our students come from low-income families. This make it even that much more difficult for them to keep up with their peers and 21st century learning.

My students thrive on active engagement through hands-on activities and being creative.

They need different modalities to learn new concepts and strengthen current skills. We currently have flexible seating as well as small and whole group learning to meet the unique needs of all students. I am very fortunate and honored to learn from them each and every day.

My Project

My students benefit from small group instruction. In order to provide them with effective instruction we need to do so with the support of 3 magnetic white boards. Each white board will provide the students personal learning experience at each learning center. They will have a close up view of what is being written to assist with their writing and problem solving skills in math. They will provide the students with active engagement and participation through manipulation of magnetic letters and numbers.

By donating to this project you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement and understanding, you will ultimately assist in their long term academic success and confidence.

They will find it easier to follow instruction and ask question to further their understanding of literacy and math practices.
