This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our Primary Montessori curriculum dives deep into life cycles of many living creatures: frogs, butterflies, chickens, birds, horses and ants. We also learn about earth science, including landforms and planets. It is most definitely one of their favorite areas to choose to work.
Our preK and K students are independent learners and are in need of new and exciting extensions for our science shelves.
Life cycle models, including books and other literacy materials will add to our centers and help students dig deeper into their science curriculum. Science is such a an important part of our work and we encourage our students to become scientists.
