Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is a very special year. It is the year of four...our fourth year open and our first graduating class of 2024. The media center is a new addition to the school and is working to add value to our students' education through access to literature and to resources students can use to support their mental health.

Our students need to have the resources provided to be able to calm racing minds and relieve anxiety.

One of the ways of doing this is to provide them a safe space and activities that involve their bodies and mind. This project will provide them with games, mindfulness coloring pages, and puzzles to become involved in when they need a break or breather. These activities will allow students to take a moment to focus their thoughts into an activity. A calm mind is our goal for all of our students.
