Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 9-12 grade classes we are focusing on SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Being a high schooler is not easy for most students as they start to realize the older they get the more responsibilities there are.

My goal is for students to be able to use these materials when they are having a stressful day and need that independent time.

Corn hole is a great game for students to play when they feel like they need some time to reflect, it keeps their minds and bodies busy. I want my students to be comfortable with sharing information with me when they are having a bad day, I also want them to know that I have alternative activities for them. Stress balls will help the students control their emotions. Together we can all support their mental health and help them grow stronger!
