My Project

In today’s world, social-emotional skills are just as important as academic success. This project aims to create a warm and supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves, learn self-regulation, and build connections. This initiative will provide the tools and resources needed for effective SEL activities and a comforting space for students to thrive.

The classroom rug will be a central spot in my counseling office for small group discussions, mindfulness sessions, and collaborative SEL activities; the water bottles promote hydration and help students stay focused during sessions.

Sweatshirt hoodies and sweatpants are for students who need warm, comfortable clothing to focus on learning rather than basic needs. SEL tools and resources, like mindfulness activity cards, stress-relief kits, fidgets, and squishy toys provide sensory tools for students needing help with self-regulation and focus during sessions. Snacks help to address hunger, ensuring our students are comfortable and ready to participate.
