My Students

My students are learning at home with different levels of support and technology available to them.

My students depend on live instruction in order to fully access the material being taught to them.

I have been using an iPad to try and provide them with walk through lessons, but it is not the same as them being able to see me teach!

They miss the feeling of being in that classroom environment where they are safe to learn, ask questions and take chances!

My Project

My students have mild to severe disabilities. Having the structure of the school day, the 1:1 and small group instruction and support taken away from them is devastating to their ability to learn and be successful. Having a whiteboard, where I can video tape myself walking through a lesson, or hold live instruction with my students could enhance digital learning for them.

Not only will it help the students, but it will help the parents as well, having access to the instruction live from the teacher.

Being in the classroom, much more happens than just learning. I want to be able to give my students back that sense of classroom family and comfort. I want to rebuild that Social Emotional sense of learning that has dwindled since being put virtual.
