Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful, enthusiastic group of diverse learners in my classroom. I have students who speak English as a second language with home languages of Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Japanese, and Tagalog. We are a Title I school, so more than half of our students come from low-income families without the opportunity to use technology at home. Their parents are very supportive of their education and students are equally motivated. My students come to school excited to learn new things every day! They love to read, write, solve math problems and learn about science and technology.

My Project

My students need art supplies to help their creativity soar! My students will make beautiful works of art with oil pastels, fun scissors, vinyl, and other art supplies. Different size paintbrushes and fun scissors will give them even more ways to express their creativity! They will love to proudly display all of their work on the new cork board strips in the classroom! The kids will use our class computer and the vinyl to make their own designs for t-shirts and other crafts. These kinds of projects will allow them to stretch their imagination and make things they never thought they could. Kids need opportunities to be creative! Your donation will give them that chance. My class thanks you for supporting the arts in school!
