My Project

Supporting students with autism at a Title I school requires creating a sensory-friendly learning environment that meets their unique needs. Providing tools like a body sock and noise-canceling headphones can have a profound impact. A body sock offers gentle compression, which helps regulate sensory sensitivities and provides calming deep pressure input. Noise-cancelling headphones reduce auditory distractions, allowing students to stay focused and engaged in their work.

These accommodations are especially valuable for our special education students, helping them feel secure and supported, so they can thrive in the classroom and achieve their full potential.
