My Project

I have wonderful students at my school and I teach them all music. Learning music is great for their development in so many ways.

My students love to play the Orff xylophones in our classroom but some of our xylophones do not have stands.

Without a stand it is hard for the students to play the xylophones because they are hunched on the floor and not ably to play comfortably with the other students. Three new stands will improve the accessibility for all students in my classroom to play xylophones.

As they play and sing, my students are also learning about the science of sound and vibrations. Having some tuning forks in the classroom to listen and feel to as they learn about sound vibration will help them conceptualize this idea.
