My Project

Flexible seating and fidgets are important for the academic success and emotional well-beings of our students! They are so fun and silly, and we love them to pieces.

Creating a classroom environment that is accessible and safe for all students, especially students with disabilities, requires supplies that accommodate their diverse needs.

Wobble chairs, seat cushions, and floor cushions will support students and their learning by providing them with different seat options and helping them feel more engaged in the classroom. Flexible seating would not only help students academically but also emotionally! The floor pillows would positively transform our classroom's calming corner and make it more welcoming for students who want to self-regulate in comfort. The feelings chart would be another wonderful addition to the calming corner, specifically for students who are in crisis and need more visual support in expressing their strong feelings.

Our classroom currently does not have enough fidgets for all students to share, so the variety pack of fidgets and chew necklaces would ensure that all students no longer feel like they have to "wait" for their turn to re-focus or self-regulate. Students who feel anxious in school, whether occasionally or daily, would greatly benefit from having ready access to various fidgets.
