Support Small Group Work

Help me give my students an area for small group work with a table and stools. We're also seeking additional Chromebooks, headphones with built in microphones for students to use speech features.

My Students

We are a K-12 charter school in Utah. With more than 40 percent of our students on free and/or reduced lunches, we are a Title I School. Yet, in spite of limited resources, we do more with less in every area of academics.

My students are dedicated and passionate about learning.

They put in their best effort every day, both in their school work and as respectful citizens and leaders.

My Project

We appreciate the on-line resources we have to support students. However, without the proper equipment students can't access these programs. We continue to seek additional Chromebooks to keep them available for all student use. In order for students to be able to use computer resources, they need proper headphones. Many students headphones are broken, or they're trying to use ear buds which don't fit their ears. The new headphones will give students better focus, so they can properly hear, as well as using the microphones for speech features.

In the classroom we're trying to identify more individual students needs, based on their varying backgrounds, prior knowledge and abilities.

By having a table and stools we hope create a better environment for small group work, tutoring, projects, etc.

The other times requested are simple items used daily which are in short supply like scissors, and a pencil sharpener. Finally, it's always important to continue to add to our classroom library. These book sets are ones the class has shown interest in.
