My students need binders for portfolios & data and files for data sheets and materials. Some have orthopedic impairments and one is in a wheelchair, so having a iPad clamp will be useful for daily activities.

My Students

From the exterior, one can tell my students are awesome by their outlook on life. They are quick to smile, show affection, and like all students crave positive interactions with both their community and peers. Anyone that knows my students will say that they do not have a mean bone in their bodies. Some might say that it takes an enormous amount of patience to serve this kind of population, but when you have the students I do and you try and see from their position, the development of purpose and perspective almost automatically take place.

Our purpose is to highlight a student's needs, make a plan to improve the quality of resources given, and implement a guide to lead them towards a brighter tomorrow.

This is only done by getting to know who my students are, learning how to attain the best tools, and finding a way to reach them. With your help we will be able to reach even further.

My Project

Due to my own inadequacies as a new teacher for the area of Life Skills, I have sometimes struggled to find strategies to meaningfully impact my students in a comprehensive way. However, I have always ingrained in myself a never-give-up attitude and a strong work ethic to try my best with whatever I got. Now I feel inspired and excited and I hope you do too after reading this.

Our department came together and carefully chose what we think is a great program to impact each student.

Upon receiving materials and training we need some more supplemental materials to assist in finalizing a plan to begin the process.

These materials will be used to organize student data, create portfolios that will follow each student's academic path through their transition years, and help to finish setting up the program masters which will be photocopied and then categorized into individual files.
