My Project

Students nationwide have been deeply impacted by COVID-19 and a lack of in-person learning during the pandemic, especially our students with learning difficulties and disabilities who did not have in-person access to safe spaces, a variety of accessible learning modalities, special services, and socialization opportunities. Supporting our students who receive special education services with resources and tools, is highly beneficial for fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. These requested resources, including sensory tools (weighted stuffed animal), hands-on learning tools, and social emotional based learning activities/tools (chew necklaces) will enable students with diverse learning needs to access the curriculum and participate across school environments.
