This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a special education teacher, I believe integrating mindfulness lessons is essential for my students' growth and well-being. Painting has become a valuable tool for them to practice mindfulness, easing anxiety and stress, particularly during the challenging period leading up to state exams. Over the years, my students have found comfort and focus through painting, and I hope to provide them with the necessary supplies to continue creating beautiful works of art.

With easels, acrylic paints, and canvases, my students will have the tools they need to explore their creativity while learning that painting can be a powerful way to practice mindfulness.

These supplies will give them the opportunity to express themselves, stay present in the moment, and find a sense of calm through art. Your support will help foster their emotional well-being and encourage mindfulness in a meaningful and engaging way.
