My Project

The items I am requesting are crucial to the development of our autistic children. Many of the items I have selected will help our babies with self-regulation and fulfilling their sensory needs. In my list of items, I have weighted lap stuff animals, these weighted lap animals reduce restlessness of the body and promote relaxation. Other items such as a new carpet would be lovely for the children to have. This would provide a nice cozy place for them to sit during morning meetings and story time. On the other hand, the remaining items on my list are ones that will stimulate one or more of their senses. Having a variety of sensory toys would be helpful to our autistic babies as they seek certain sensory experiences. Due to a limited budget there isn't much help from the school's end. However, I have decided to reach out to this avenue to cut out-of-pocket expenses. Our babies deserve to have tools and resources that will help them in their development.
