Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach intelligent, active children who are part of an EFL (Extended Foreign Language) Program in a Title I School in Miami. Many of them were born in foreign countries. These bilingual fourth graders are curious, creative, and always eager to learn new things. There's never a dull moment in our classroom!

The subject my students enjoy the most is science, especially hands-on activities and experiments.

These young scientists learn to become problem solvers and inventors in our science lab.

My Project

Research shows that we remember better with hands-on activities. Having a microscope readily available in the classroom will be exciting and engaging. I would like to keep it at the science station as an everyday tool.

What fourth grader wouldn't like to make magnetic slime?

My boys and girls will learn the laws of physics while having fun. I also wish to spark an interest in coding and programming using the Wonder Workshop Dash Robot. Not only will my students become better critical thinkers and innovators, but their cooperative learning capacity will grow as they complete experiments and collaborate as programmers.
