My Project

In an era where education plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of individuals and societies, providing students with a conducive and enriching learning environment is of the utmost importance. However, financial constraints can hinder educators from acquiring essential resources needed for such a classroom. In highlighting just how these resources will be used, I hope that it will become clear the necessity of these items and how important your donation is to myself and my future students.

My Donor’s Choose project focuses on acquiring the certain resources that are currently beyond my individual financial reach, but have played a crucial part in the classrooms I have mentored and student taught in.

By providing flexible floor seating, I will have a wider range of seating options for students when they are able to read independently, work in pairs and/or groups, all while seated comfortably around the classroom. The standing portable desk will offer students the ability to stand during instruction and will support a wider range of learning styles. The table caddies provide students with essential supplies at their desks, and can offer multiple different types of supplies in one central location. Within those caddies will be the scissors purchased, and will be used in a multitude of ways across a wide range of subject matter. Lastly, the book bins are provided to offer each student their own individual place for their folders, notebooks, library books, etc.

Each item on this list will be used within my classroom daily. Supporting my Donor’s Choose project presents you with an opportunity to provide my fifth graders with items that equip them for success and the tools necessary for a transformative educational experience.
