This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Settlers of Catan fosters critical thinking and negotiation skills as players strategically build settlements, roads, and cities while trading resources with others. Its modular board ensures no two games are alike, promoting adaptability and creative problem-solving. The game's social dynamics encourage communication and collaboration, making it ideal for building friendships and teamwork among high schoolers.

Wingspan offers an immersive experience centered around birdwatching and ecology.

Its stunning artwork and thematic gameplay engage players in learning about different bird species and their habitats. Through managing resources and competing for objectives, students develop resource management and decision-making skills. The game's scientific accuracy and educational content make it a valuable tool for introducing ecological concepts in a fun and accessible way.

Both games promote strategic thinking, social interaction, and learning, making them ideal choices for high school students. They provide opportunities for intellectual stimulation, creativity, and social bonding, fostering a positive and enriching gaming experience that aligns with educational goals and interests.
