My Project

My students are wonderful little learners whose brains process and think about the world around them differently. Our therapy sessions could benefit from learning products, materials to create personalized tools for students, and cleaning supplies to keep us safe in our shared therapy space.

The largest purchase is for objects to help understand and process spoken language.

This helps with reading comprehension and being able to connect with the world around them. My students having access to these tools will reduce frustration and increase language skills. I’ve also requested materials to create personalized tools (Teacher’s Pay Teachers gift card, laminating sheets, velcro, etc.) which will transition to their homes and communities to support them. Because so many of my students struggle to communicate, sometimes resulting in disruptive behavior, these materials will allow them to reduce their frustration throughout the day.
