Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The cheerleaders art MS50 are dedicated to increasing school spirit and being active community members. This is many of the student's first exposure to athletics and team sports.
The cheerleading program at Middle School 50 started last year after about a decade of no program at the school.
A group of students came to me, asking to have access to such activities. This year over 40 students came to try outs.
Our current pom poms are held together by zip ties and often break during games. Our students deserve materials that match their effort and dedication. Thank you so much for your support of athletics, dedication, and community!
