My students need materials to supplement district required science unit on insects. We need several sets of books, activities, hands on samples, games and some scientific movies to help us become real entomologists.

Help Mrs. Robb

I am a first grade teacher in a high poverty, urban school. We are also 50% English Language Learners representing countries from around the globe.

Children in poverty and those learning English need to learn about a subject in many ways. Books, models, movies, art. Our district science kits come with very little in the way of resources to help these learners.

This will give us books, models, games, and science DVDs to help us really understand the living world around us. We will really "get" what insects are and how they are important to our world.

You will make it possible for my students to continue to grow as learners and lovers of science and the natural world. These materials will help them grow their academic language and love of learning.
