Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are one of a kind. They come from diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. They are bright and hardworking, and like most everyone else, they learn in different ways. They need a multi-sensory friendly environment including visual, images, pictures, models and movement to stay focus and regulated in order to learn.

The materials included here will be used during speech and language sessions to support speech and language development through play and hand-on activities.

The materials will be used and reused with current and future students, so your help will carry us a long way. The Royal Kingdom Adventure Castle and Play Explore Rocket will provide multiple opportunities to develop vocabulary, expand utterances, formulate grammatically and syntactically correct sentences and social language skills. The wobble chair will allow students to move, so they can stay focus when working on specific goals. The Super Duper Short Stories will help student strengthen auditory memory skills needed for narrative and language skills. Along with these, I have included everyday school supplies for students and our classroom such as paper, notebooks, markers, a sharpener, storage bins for organizing materials and books. The paper, notebooks and markers will help us record our work and share strategies with families so they can stay informed and support students from home.
