My Students

I am very lucky to provide speech and language therapy to young students ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This service helps students learn skills to strengthen their ability to communicate with their peers, teachers, families and other members of their community. The students I support benefit from an environment that promotes learning in a safe and comfortable space.

The children that receive speech & language services have a strong desire to succeed and can do that effectively when they start the year with the supplies they need!

My Project

Throughout the school year, I provide my students with enriching activities along with visual supports and behavior charts to facilitate success in the speech and language room and their classrooms.

I am lucky to work with students ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade who attend Speech and Language Therapy in order to strengthen their ability to communicate effectively with their peers and teachers.

My Project

My students would benefit greatly from a color printer. During my speech and language therapy sessions, I often provide students with instruction on their learning level. With this color printer, scanner and copier, my students will have access to differentiated materials across content areas and grade levels. Students will be able to visualize a text in true color to help them understand, sequence, and retell stories. After producing their own written work on a computer, students will be able to quickly print their text in black and white for a classroom assignment. We can also scan in our work to send to teachers and home to families.

My students often benefit from the use of visual supports, picture schedules, behavior charts and graphic organizers to access the curriculum. Having the ability to print these materials quickly will allow my students to use these supports across their school and home environments.

These printers will significantly improve the effectiveness of my speech and language sessions. The tissues and paper towels will also help promote a healthy school year! Thank you for your support.
