Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is made up of energetic and eager students! The school is a Title I school with over 75% of our students that are multilingual learners.

My students are eager to learn and I want them to have the tools to make that happen!

Due to the language barrier and other socioeconomic factors, my students are not currently working on their grade level. They do not have the necessary prior knowledge and have fallen behind their peers in mathematics. Many of them are not enthusiastic about learning math. It is hard for them to learn the material on their grade level because they lack number sense and basic skills.

These resources will enable me to provide learning activities that are engaging and will hopefully motivate my students. The Number Bond, Number Sense Interventions, and Lakeshore Accelerate Math activities are fun resources that will provide additional support to my students. The resource books are perfect for me to use to differentiate the students' activities based upon their individual needs.

This project includes a variety of items that I can use to create a healthy environment. The students cannot attend school if they are sick, so the wipes and individual bags will help keep us heathy and learning!
