My Project

A lot of our English Leaner students are newcomer immigrants to the United States and face many barriers to accessing the education we provide. Some are in transitional housing situations and may not have consistent access to food, basic hygiene products and appropriate school materials.

My students have experienced insecure housing situations, interrupted schooling, and economic stressors that require additional support.

When students are choosing to show up to school, they need their classrooms to be fully stocked with basic class essentials that supports trauma-informed pedagogy to improve their mental wellbeing.

As a new teacher, I am trying to have all the basic classroom essentials needed to have engaging and relevant lessons for these students. With you donation, we can make sure that students are not worried about basic school supplies. Please help us get pencils, paper, markers and folders. This way, students are only responsible for showing up and focusing on their learning!
