My Project

I am reaching out to seek your support for a crucial addition to our juvenile jail housing units – a microwave. Our youth are actively engaged in a garden program where they grow an array of vegetables, including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and more. The produce harvested is not only a source of fresh, healthy food but also a medium through which they learn essential life skills. However, the lack of a microwave poses a significant challenge when it comes to reheating and preparing meals crafted from their garden harvest.

With your generous contributions, we aim to provide a microwave for the young ladies housing unit.

This simple appliance will not only enhance their ability to enjoy the fruits of their labor but also facilitate the preparation of new meals. The microwave will be an essential tool in empowering these young individuals to take charge of their nutrition and culinary skills, promoting a sense of responsibility and self-sufficiency within the confines of the juvenile jail.
