My Students

Viborg-Hurley is a small, tight-knit, rural community in South Dakota. Our local school is small, averaging class sizes of about 25-30 students. Many of these kids come from middle to low-income families and our school doesn't have the ability to provide us with the technology and equipment to help our students get an even better education and my goal is to provide them with those opportunities.

My students are some of the most dedicated and hard-working individuals in our school and I continuously push them to think harder and really understand and explore the material.

They are tremendous individuals who have the drive to become better students and people. Their interest and love for learning are what drives me to become a better teacher and do what I can to help them get the best education possible.

My Project

We perform many labs and projects that require students to utilize different forms of technology from filming to weighing out chemicals. We currently have no form of video equipment for students to utilize during projects and we currently only have three working scales. Having access to more technology will allow my students to work more efficiently on their projects.

Science is about utilizing technology and allowing creativity to flow.

I believe that your donations will allow us to facilitate student growth and success in the science curriculum. Efficiency and creativity allow science to inspire and grow the educational backgrounds of my students.
