Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We tend to take basic supplies for granted; it isn't until you no longer have access to those basic supplies that you realize how vital they are.

My students live in a high poverty area of New York City.

The class consists of general and special education students. They love to write, draw, and create. My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds and don't always have access to the basic supplies they need. I want to create a learning environment that meets all of my students' needs.

My Project

My students need basic supplies for when we return to the classroom in the fall. My students come from low income households, with the current pandemic many will not have the ability to buy schools supplies. In this project I am putting up the supplies that I usually ask parents to purchase on my supply list. I am hoping to alleviate some of the burden for our families.

The smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of my students.

With your help, my students will have a much-needed resources that will make a lasting impact in their education. Please help my students with this classroom necessity!
