My Students

We are a class of motivated students with a focus and passion to learn and create. My hope is that I can guide my students and continue developing their love of art projects and school. Our resources are limited, and we need your help. This is a third grade class that is located in New York City.

The students come from low income housing and have extremely limited resources.

Our elementary school has grades K-5 and houses over 1,000 students. Basic art materials have become difficult to acquire for our Title I school. The students are wonderful and it is a pleasure being their teacher year after year.

My Project

I am asking for these supplies not only for our art period but also for decorating their published writing pieces, drawing a favorite character or setting, creating bar graphs, pictographs, making holiday cards and gifts and countless other daily activities. The students will learn how to draw, use space, color, shade and create with these materials.

My goal for every year is to make our school year together one of the most memorable of the student's lives.

The projects that the students complete will inspire them, make them believe in themselves and give them the confidence to take artistic chances.
