My Project

I love using whiteboards in my math classes as a tool for interactive and fun learning to improve student engagement. Students love using them too! It is a nice change from taking paper/pencil notes. Whiteboards can be used to practice math problems, play math games, or work on homework problems. They can be used as a way for me to quickly check student understanding and give immediate feedback. These specific whiteboards also have a coordinate plane where students can easily practice graphing skills. I plan to use the whiteboards in several ways including: partner/group work, bellwork, review for assessments, or just a quick formative assessment of student skills and understanding.

My goals are to use the whiteboards on a weekly basis to improve student engagement in my classroom.

My students are special because they work hard every day in math class to improve their knowledge and skills even if math is not their favorite subject.
