Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the pleasure to work with students who are trying to learn how to read and write in English so they can express themselves to myself and others in school. They love to come to school and are eager to complete their daily tasks. Even though the students are motivated to work, they are behind which means they're several levels below their grade expectations for reading, writing and math. They are not able to receive the necessary help at home due to the language barrier their parents have so all of their academic learning happens in school.

My Project

Help my students Start off Smoothly by easing their responsibilities. My students will be able to come to class every day without any worries about supplies. They will have the pencils every day to use during writing and classwork. They will have markers to use when working in groups and charting their ideas ready for them instead of searching in their book bags. They will also have dry erase markers, date stamps and staple supplies for their use when working independently on their academic tasks.

With the donation of pencils, markers and dry erase markers to my classroom you will be donating more than basic supplies, you will be giving the gift of relaxation.

My students will not have to worry about remembering to bring, or find, supplies from their houses. They won't have to worry about their supplies being broken because with the help of this project, pencils, markers and staple school supplies will be ready for them to use as soon as they arrive in class. You will be helping students bring their focus back to LEARNING instead of worrying about objects.
