This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Winter break marked that time of year when we all sense the shift. The classroom supplies requested will see us through the end of the year. We have run out of toner and paper to make copies. The reality is that if you want students to deeply analyze a text they need the hard copy. Studies have shown and years of experience demonstrate that using a tablet or reading on the computer simply is not the same. We are asking for the toner and papers that will allow our students to prepare for the Regents and AP exams without issue.
We are asking for the last box of binders for students who need a new one and post-its for deep annotations.
This mini-grant will provide some of the last necessary supplies that we need to see the year out. Thank you so very much for supporting my class and our kiddos - it has made a tremendous difference to their educational outcomes.
