This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 10th grade students worked extremely hard to earn a spot in my school’s first AP World History class. Like so many others, their organizational skills are not as strong as they would have been without remote learning.

Coming from low-income households, and having after-school jobs and other responsibilities make it difficult to them to purchase binders, divider tabs, paper and folders needed for success in this challenging college-level course.

These students are extremely hard-working and dedicated to making their college prospects as promising as possible. Help them begin the year with an advantage they otherwise wouldn’t have on their own.
