Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During small group time in my classroom, I like to use different supplies to keep each meeting interesting and fun. My scholars get so excited when they get to use scented markers and it encourages them to write more. When we are sounding out and reading our words, we love to segment using magnetic chips and then swipe through them with our magic magnetic wands as we read them! The chalk and balls help us to learn our high-frequency words while enjoying time outside. We write our words and then try to bounce the ball on each word as we read it. The paper cutter will be used to cut all the pieces for our homemade centers that we have. We like to come up with ideas on our own, but I also buy centers on Teachers Pay Teachers that need to be cut and assembled. Some basic supplies help us to show off our unique talents all while having fun!
