My Students

100% of my students are in temporary housing. I am the community coordinator and I support students and their families with housing, benefits, and all other needs.

While all of my students are experiencing displacement, homelessness, doubled up etc.

many of them are still doing well in class and are resilient enough not to let those circumstances stop them from being all they can be.

Some of my students are special needs and are diagnosed with different mental, educational, or social disabilities. They still work just as hard as the students in general education.

My Project

The supplies we requested are to be used by us in creative art therapy sessions and reflection activities.

Desk organizers will make sure everything is in its place and neat.

Staples will make sure we can keep our work together. Desk accessories such as a pencil cup will keep our pens and pencils in one place.

We are also requesting Construction paper, scissors, and pencils. We will use these for art therapy projects that we will be using to express ourselves through art.

Journals will be used for writing responses and social stories. We will also use our journals for reflections throughout the day that we will go over whenever we are together.

Marvel and Disney coloring books will be used for free time fun throughout the day when we need breaks and a microwave will allow us to heat our food and snacks up.

These supplies are needed to make sure that not only we continue to have an effective school year but we have supplies to help us express ourselves through art, creativity, and fun free time.
