Help Needed! I currently teach a class of 6th, 7th and 8th grade special needs students in an inner city school district. We are located in a high poverty area and most students receive free breakfast and lunch.

We are faced with a lack of funding. In the past Special Needs classes were given monies to purchase the needed supplies. Special Needs students have a wide range of learning abilities in the same class. We must differentiate instruction more than the regular education classes and thus need extra funding. Now we are grouped with the regular education classes and our extra funding has stopped.

Everyday students come to school unprepared due to their inability to purchase these items. As a teacher I must supply these students with the tools necessary to succeed in the classroom and life. We are in need of the basic items to get organized. I am asking for binders ad folders to help us out. Our district requires our students to maintain math and science binders but do not provide the resources to help the students meet these requirements.

Your donation will make it possible for these children to succeed not only in the classroom but in life. Given this opportunity to get organized will help make these children feel successful, a feeling which they rarely have. Please help this children in need!
