Do you remember what it was like getting ready for the first day of school? Your family went shopping and bought supplies! Well, my students don't have that opportunity.
My class is a class of 16 seventh and eighth grade students who are Cognitively Impaired.
They live in a low income inner city. Unfortunately, due to tough economic times the school district has cut our budget and the students don't have the resources to purchase the needed supplies to have a successful school year.
My Project
They are in need of the basic necessities to stay organized for the upcoming school year. With binders, tab dividers and folders, the students will be able to keep their work organized. With organized work, they will have a better chance of succeeding in school.
This project is of great need in our class.
These resources will have a tremendous impact on their learning. Won't you please make a difference in the lives of these children. It is through donors like you that our students will succeed!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
