Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an Autistic Support Classroom that is new to the school. I work in a Title One high school in Philadelphia. The students that I work with struggle with expressive and receptive language abilities. Visuals are an essential tool to help students with autism understand their environment and express their wants and needs.

I am trying to make my classroom a second home to my students and I focus on creating a safe, fun environment.

This "homey" environment is where we spend most of our day and it is important that we have the supplies that we need. I am thankful for all of your support!

My Project

In the supplies that I am asking for, we have the lamination sheets to label the stations and their work. The ink is to print documents in color like money, worksheets or when the printers at the school get damaged. I am asking for a new stapler because ours broke before winter break.

With this supplies, I am going to be able to work better with my students.

My students like to draw with markers and sharpies. Through the drawing, I am going to be able to have conversations with my students plus, they can express their feelings or frustration.
