My Students

My students love to learn! They come to school each day ready to learn new things and prepare themselves for the future. Their school is a Title I school, and they do not always receive the necessary items to help them succeed. They are already grateful for what we have now!

I want my students to have the necessary items to be successful in school.

We want to start off the school year making sure that everyone has enough classroom supplies to get us through the beginning of the school year.

Our classroom would really benefit from this opportunity, and I know it will inspire them to do well this school year!

My Project

My students often come to school without basic necessities. Everything on this list will benefit my students daily. I strive to teach my students to be creative in their learning, and parts of this project will help with that. I want my students to learn basic life skills, like how to be organized and tidy, which other parts of this project will help them with as well. They should not have to ask other students daily for supplies to borrow, or shove papers in their desk because they didn't have a folder. My students will need a good pencil sharpener to make sure they are ready to write each day, twin pocket folders to keep papers organized, index card cases to keep their sight word cards organized, pencil cases to keep their supplies organized, dry erase markers for center work, personal pencil sharpeners to limit classroom disruptions on the main sharpener, highlighters for reading comprehension, index cards to write their sight words on, book rings to keep index cards organized when out of case, erasers to correct any mistakes during work, tape to repair torn pages and to hang up classwork, a stapler and staples to keep papers organized, poster markers to write ideas on chart paper, adhesive to hang work on boards, and a hole punch to use with sight word cards.

My students would definitely appreciate these materials.
