Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are such hard workers and have tried their best to keep all of our supplies in great condition all year long. We would like to prepare for next year's class with fresh supplies that they will be able to use to create new projects, label material at school, and bring their learning to a whole new level. Specifically we will be labeling their science journals and accurate colors will help bring them to life.

We also want to explore flexible seating options so that my students can be comfortable mainly during their independent work time.

The flexible seating will also be great when they are trying to collaborate! The velcro dots help keep their floor spots easy to find and make grouping the kiddos easy.

With the group pocket chart, I will be able to keep their groups visible to them while they are working and rotating through literacy and math centers which will help the class flow much better.

We have some cabinets in the classroom that are open shelving and they store all of our math materials. It can look very distracting and unorganized so having some curtains to cover that up will help kiddos focus on their work.
