This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, I am a special education teacher at a Title I campus where over 80% of my students are economically disadvantaged. I am asking for resources to help my students with special needs as well as tools I will need to track their progress. I will utilize timers and calming sensory items to help my students with sensory and attention needs. I will use the basic supplies to supplement items they may not have in class. I will use the organizational tools to help keep all of their IEP data organized. I will use the laminating sheets and card stock to create resources such as social stories, accommodated stations and accommodated learning games. The label/post-it printer will be used to communicate accommodations and modifications used on assignments with my general education partner as well as the students’ parents.
