Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with students who have a variety of different needs. Some of my scholars have disabilities, some are English second language learners, some have emotional needs, and others simply need to be motivated.

They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!

Despite the obstacles they face on a daily basis, they come to school ready to learn. I love to see their eyes light up with smiles on their faces when they want to participate in a large group discussion to show they have grasped the skill that was taught during early instruction.

My Project

My students have been working so hard this year. We use ClassDojo points to track good work, behavior, participation, and citizenship. Students are able to use ClassDojo points like money to receive prizes.

I am requesting paper, fidget pops and scented markers.

This project will refresh my prize box with pop its and cool smelly markers so students have choices that motivate them.

In addition, we are requesting paper to ensure we can print all the materials we need for our students to practice with worksheets, math manipulatives, etc.

Having the chance to earn rewards is great for their social-emotional health and math skills and prizes like colored pencils will help them with their school work as well.
