Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited to come to school each day. They have already received perfect attendance for the first month of school! By the end of this school year, I want my students to have confidence within themselves and the way they learn best. Being in an area where funds are low, makes this hard.

My students are energetic 5th graders.

They love hearing stories from past experiences, and gather as much insight as they can. My school is located in a low socioeconomic area. These kids worry about food, shelter, family problems, and getting to and from school. They love being in my classroom, and I try to make it as fun and comfortable as possible.

My Project

With a full classroom of upper graders, germs are easily spread. My students will be able to relieve their asthma symptoms with the help of the air purifier. We are in desperate need of a working electric pencil sharpener that is reliable. The thought of each student in the classroom having a sharpened pencil each day will already allow one less worry for my students. Math lessons can get started promptly, and learning can be even more abundant. Slowly, our classroom is receiving technology, and the charging station will help show the students how to keep the technology. It will help the students with routine building and will allow them to have fully charged technology at the start of each day.

Donations for this project will greatly improve my classroom by helping to create an even more comforting environment.

My students will have sharpened pencils ready for them each day. Our slowly growing technology base in the classroom will have a designated place in the room where the students can build a routine in caring for the products.
