Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Help me give my students the supplies they need to have a successful year in first grade!

Students need supplies such as headphones and dry-erase markers to be successful in both whole-group lessons, as well as small group time.

My students WANT to learn, and these supplies will help them start the year off strong. We use several individualized computer programs that are specific to each student. These programs are great, but the students need headphones to hear and learn.

It is also important to have dry-erase markers and bags to store them for small group time as well as whole group. We use these daily and the students enjoy using the markers instead of pencils. The copy paper goes hand in hand with these supplies in making copies of projects and passages.
