My Students

I teach a 4th-grade inclusion class at a New York City, Title I elementary school where all children qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students are both general and special education.

My classroom is a diverse population of students from a mosaic of cultures.

My students thrive when I differentiate instruction to meet their learning needs. I have a diverse family of students who are in language acquisition and basic learning modes. With students of such different learning abilities, I strive to create an inclusive and warm accepting classroom.

This year with COVID, I'm faced with the challenge of a hybrid class that can provide students with a modified learning classroom. My goal is to create a dynamic and warm 4th-grade family where all my students feel free to express themselves and feel pride in who they are. As I tap into the talents of my students, it's important for me to have the supplies they need to create and learn.

My Project

All my students deserve the supplies they need to have a successful school year. With these hard times that families and teachers have experienced, it is hard to get the supplies needed for the classroom. Students will use the dry erase markers in order to plan out their math solutions on their wipe boards. They will use the pencils throughout the day to complete their classroom work, and the sharpener to make sure they have sharpened pencils. The chart paper will be a great addition to adding anchor charts to be displayed in the classroom, and the copy paper can be used to make smaller charts for the students to take home.

By donating to our project, you will help to increase my students' academic achievement.

Students will be able to focus on the task at hand. This will ensure a successful school year.
