Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in our classroom is fun, engaging, and exciting. In order for my students to excel beyond their expectations academically, having these items accessible to them in the classroom will allow them to be more successful. These materials will give them learning opportunities!

My students are a lively bunch who love to learn.

They thoroughly enjoy reading and writing. They also love to engage with hands-on materials to enhance their learning. Our school has created a caring community where all learners and their diversity is embraced and celebrated!

My Project

Having access to a classroom printer with copy paper will mean that the students will be able to interact with materials more quickly. We will be able to print materials to be sent home easier, as well as make copies during class if we run out without spending our learning time to go to the office for copies. The printer and paper will also allow the teacher to create a stronger home-school connection with the families of the students, as she will be able to print materials, notes, and reminders to be sent home much easier! The thin dry erase markers will allow the students to have ownership over their own learning by using these markers on small individual whiteboards where they can practice their writing or mathematics skills.

Overall, donations to this project will improve our classroom by giving the students easier access to their learning and allowing our day-to-day routines to go on smoothly and without interruptions.

Creating this atmosphere in the classroom will allow the students to focus more deeply on the activity, lesson, or task at hand with minimal distractions, giving them the opportunity to be as successful as they can be!
