Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has limited supplies. Our students love to come to school but are unprepared every day. They work hard but lack simple supplies to make their day complete. Imagine not having a simple pencil and sharpener to put a smile on your face to completer your work. Help them smile every day!

Our students live in a low-socio economic area.

Our school tries hard to help every student attain success in every way, academically and socially. We just don't have enough money in our budget to reorder supplies. My students are 3rd graders who are taking their first standardized test this year. We are doing a lot of work and they all want to achieve the highest level possible. They are so positive and eager to learn. It's disappointing to come into school everyday unprepared and beginning your day on a sad note. My students love to write, read and do math. They are smart, funny, quirky and lovable! Please help them start off their day on a happy note. Thank you. :)

My Project

Students who have these simple supplies probably feel a pencil is nothing, but to my students owning a pencil and a sharpener is like owning a piece of gold. My students will be able to write all day long using pencils with erasers and sharpen them if they need them. All of their performance tasks, math, reading and writing activities will be completed without anyone being distracted from not having a pencil or sharpener. They can all achieve success and feel good about themselves when they walk into school knowing that they are prepared.

This donation will definitely improve our classroom by allowing the students to always be prepared and ready to work.

They will empowered because they will be prepared and ready to work without any interruptions.
