My school is an innovative school. This means that our school family has been given the chance to provide our students with more meaningful and rigorous learning opportunities. The majority of scholars at my school receive free and/or reduced-price lunch and breakfast.
The start of a new school year means that the majority of my scholars will not have adequate school supplies.
Many scholars and their families are currently affected by school closures. I want them to have everything they need when they start a brand-new school year.
I want to meet those needs by providing scholars with the comfort of knowing that they have all that they need in order to succeed. School supplies are essential to their success. Having these supplies on the first day of the school year ensures that scholars are able to fully focus on their education without having to stress about how their parents will come up with the money for these supplies.
Our classroom is in dire need of school supplies. As a teacher, I am constantly having to provide my scholars with all the supplies they need. On any given day, students ask to take pencils home. I do not deny students this desire because they need them to complete their homework. We need pencils, X-ACTO Pencil Sharpeners, and dry erase markers to complete work. Most of these supplies are items my students need to use daily and without them, they're unable to reach their full potential. In our classroom, our whole group math lessons are carried out using dry erase markers. My students are extremely engaged, due to the utilization of the dry erase markers.
My students are in need of pencils and dry erase markers to stay engaged in learning.
Providing my scholars with these school supplies will help tremendously.
