Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A majority of my students are from low-income homes and often struggle to bring in the supplies they need. In addition, my students are special needs students who benefit greatly from visuals and projects that require additional tools that they cannot supply themselves. They always share my enthusiasm and never complain or show their difficulty in dealing with such hardships and I would love to help them out in the best way possible.

I love being able to aid them and supply them with their needs because our students deserve the best.

I teach in Integrated Co-Teaching classrooms as well as Self-Contained Classrooms. Our students progress and show effort when they are given the necessary tools, strategies, and visuals they need to succeed. They often are also hungry throughout the day and need fuel to keep them going! They are funny, energetic, and great students whom just need a push in the right direction to try their best!

My Project

All students need basic supplies for schools. Unfortunately, time and time again, we come across many students who cannot afford to bring in basic supplies. This often sets them back, leads to disorganization, frustration, sadness, and even anxiety! Students should not ever have to feel this way because they cannot afford to bring in pencils, erasers, folders, and other tools that will help them in the classroom. When students are left without these items, they are often setback academically and even mentally. Please help me provide the basic tools these students need to succeed in this new year!
